Erin McDevitt

Founder and CEO
Achieving More Founder and CEO Erin McDevitt is proud of the team she has assembled and the amazing work they do every day. She genuinely cares about her employees and appreciates the effort required to perform the supports coordinator job well. Evaluating and coaching people are two of Erin’s greatest strengths. She has a gift for finding the perfect combination of ability, drive, and empathy it takes to give Achieving More’s individuals the services they deserve.

Supporting Achieving More’s supports coordinator is a duty Erin takes seriously. Despite constant myriad challenges, she has steered the agency through turbulent times to grow expand team members’ skills and grow its service offerings. She has found a way to reduce supports coordinators’ caseloads to allow for more thorough and personalized attention to each individual, made continuing education courses available to the staff, and adding more supervisors and mentors.

Erin earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami and her juris doctorate from the Temple School of Law. She was a partner in her family’s firm before starting her own solo practice so she could work with seniors as court-appointed counsel. Seeking to extend the help she could provide to older citizens, Erin incorporated Aging Your Way, Inc. to deliver in-home support. Continuing to look for ways to address the needs of underserved populations, she rebranded Aging Your Way as Achieving More and expanded her focus to include people and families dealing with autism and intellectual disabilities. The team of likeminded professionals she has built has helped her sustain her dream.

She is deeply indebted to them all.

“You can train someone to provide a service,” Erin explains. “But you cannot train them to care. We care about our employees as much as we care about the individuals and families we serve. That attention to employee hiring and coaching is reflected in the care and support they provide the individuals they support.”

Chris Oscar

Office Manager
As Founder Erin McDevitt’s right-hand person, office manager Chris Oscar makes sure all the I’s are dotted, all the t’s are crossed, and all the bills are paid. Chris combines her background in early childhood education and nearly two decades of experience in medical office administration to keep things running smoothly and ensure all individuals receive the care and services they deserve.

She knows from caring for her father that independence is critical to a person’s self-value quality of life.

“It’s gratifying that Achieving More brings together the resources and commitment to give our individuals the assistance to make that happen,” she said. “Our team takes the time to understand each caregiver’s strengths and match the companies with the clients they are best equipped to help. That creates more comfortable relationships and partnerships, making interactions pleasant visits rather than intrusions. Achieving More has found a way to make positive differences in so many lives; that makes me proud to be part of this amazing company.”

When she’s not keeping the lights on and the workflow humming along at Achieving More, Chris is likely to be communing with the local flora and fauna – camping among the trees, tending to her garden, and taking nature photographs.
